Vaughn Marshall is senior litigation counsel. Mr. Marshall has been involved in the Hepatitis C, Indian Residential Schools and other large lawsuits against big governments and institutions in cases often exceeding a billion dollars. He has acted for Canadian and international corporations, governments, foreign and Canadian banks, class representatives and individuals. From the start, Marshall was centrally involved in the Indian Residential Schools litigation, filing one of the first representative legal actions in Alberta for hundreds of Blackfoot victims and as a founding member of the National Consortium, a primary party in the negotiation of the IRS National Settlement Agreement with the Government of Canada.

For over 30 years he has been involved in complex, high-stakes banking, criminal, civil, divorce, tort and other cases, conducting or involved in hundreds of trials, hearings and appeals at all levels of court in Canada and the United States, and successfully defending over $1 Billion in claims against banks. Mr. Marshall began acting in banking lawsuits in 1980 and, from 1984 to 1998, devoted most of his practice to acting for big banks in business loan defaults and, defending banks when sued by business borrowers in lender-liability lawsuits ranging from $5 Million to $500 Million in cases in Canada and the United States.
